Milani’s journey started in 2004, when Lin travelled to Rimini, Italy, for a holiday. Lin fell in love with the delicious gelato and the countless flavours. After traveling through Italy, Germany, Austria and England, it became evident to Lin that gelato was not just an ordinary ice cream or dessert, but a timeless favourite.
Eager to learn more about what made gelato so special, Lin embarked on a gelato training course in Sydney, Australia. It was at this course that Lin discovered that he possessed a passion for gelato, and strove to master the art of making it. Lin then traveled to Italy to enhance his knowledge and trained for two months at the University of Bologna under a Master gelato chef.
Since completing his training, Lin sources only the freshest ingredients in Brisbane and lovingly hand-makes his award winning gelato every morning. The passion and obsession Lin has for gelato continues to satisfy the taste buds of our regular customers as well as countless patrons who have traveled far and wide to sample Milani Gelato.
